Through Project: VITAL (Values In The Arts & Life), RUACH teaches diverse constituencies such as schools, senior homes and centers, and community organizations about positive personal and social values as well as the value of the arts. This integration of the arts and values is done in several ways, including the exploration of such varied media as visual arts, music, theater, creative writing, and creative movement.
Through this artist-in-residence program, participating organizations use various artistic media to express the moral value around which the project is themed. The projects are based upon lesson plans which a variety of organizations can work on concurrently at different settings, with the final results displayed at an annual culminating event.
With generous assistance from the Greater Milwaukee Foundation’s Mary L. Nohl Fund and Bader Philanthropies, Inc. this year’s Project: VITAL promises to educate, create and inspire.
